It's been several years since I've seriously dated someone,and it's quite amazing. But that's beside the point. It's Fall, my fave time of the year, and I'm lovin' it! Went camping on one of the only free camping sites left in the world, found a rock worth $100, forgot the tent and slept under the heavy rains of an August night. It wasn't as bad as it seems; the night was warm, and tha day was 89 degrees. My bf and family were all there, and they had a great time ribbing us for lending out our tent to the big brother, then forgetting ours, then getting lost on the way there, then only bringing enough food for one day. Well, technically two days, but I was grossly underestimating my bf's appetite! Then we went rock hunting. It's again, not like it seems. Some of the world's most beautiful agates come from this area, and greenstone (hence my $100 rock!) and alot of rocks here have high concentrations of copper, too. I read a great book, called 'Affluenza'. It was about the society of today becoming so entrenched in greed, selfishness, and materialism, that LIFE passes them by. They die of heart attacks from working themselves to the bone so they can buy stuff that they have to put on their credit cards cause they can't afford it, and can never enjoy because they end up marrying someone just like themselves, and have kids so egotistically selfish that in order to keep them happy, they need- you guessed it- MORE STUFF!!! The book gives people a way out. Completely swallowing the old self and becoming someone new. It's that simple. Ha...
